Pawn Shops
A pawn shop license is required prior to the operation of any pawn shop within the City of Princeton. No pawn shop license may be transferred to a different location or a different person. An initial investigation fee of $50, billable transaction fee of $300 per month, and an annual license fee of $500 are also required.
Pawn shops are required to work in close conjunction with the Princeton Police Department, including daily reportable transactions to the police department through the Automated Pawn System.
